Subaru

SubaruSubaru is the first Japanese company to use a name derived from its own language, and that name is reflected in its logo. The name refers to a group of stars in the constellation of Taurus (we refer to them as the Pleiades, a cluster that conatins a large number stars, 14 of which are visible to the naked eye under optimal conditions). Why six stars in the logo? The five smaller stars represent the five companies that merged to form Fuji Heavy Industries (parent of Subaru) in 1953, while the sixth star represents the larger unified company.
